Megahertz to kilohertz conversion
MHz to kHz Conversion
It is a conversion calculator used to convert the frequency in megahertz (MHz) to kilohertz (kHz). It is programmed with two active controls that perform independent functions of the calculator. The ‘Convert' button is used to initiate the conversions from megahertz to kilohertz. The ‘Reset' button is used to erase all data of the previous calculations from the converter. To use the calculator, you enter the value in the blank text field and then click the ‘Convert' button. The result in kilohertz is displayed immediately at the bottom panel of the calculator below the two controls. The Megahertz to Kilohertz conversion calculator can only execute a single conversion at a time.
Example
Convert 25 megahertz to kilohertz
Solution
First, enter the frequency value 25 in the blank text field and then click the ‘Convert' button to execute the conversion. The result will be displayed as; 25000 kHz
Calculation
If 1 Megahertz (MHz) = 1000 Hz
25 MHz =? KHz
= 25 MHz x 1000
= 25000 kilohertz (kHz).
You can always repeat the same procedure when you have new values in megahertz.
Formula for converting Megahertz (MHz) to Kilohertz (kHz)
1 kHz = 0.001 MHz is the standard used in the conversion which means that one kilohertz is equivalent to 0.001 megahertz.
It can also be expressed as;
1 MHz = 1000 kHz, where one megahertz is equal to 1,000 frequency in kilohertz.
ʄ (kHz) = ʄ (MHz) x 1000 is the method used by the converter in performing the calculation. We multiply the frequency in megahertz by 1000 to get the frequency in kilohertz.
Using the example above, the calculation will be;
ʄ (kHz) = 25 MHz x 1000 = 25,000 kilohertz (kHz)
The conversion result can also be determined using the Megahertz to Kilohertz conversion table based on a scale of 0 to 1000 MHz
